Yesterday we ran the AI Hackathon, something we started sketching on a whiteboard back in January and honestly weren’t sure would come together the way we hoped.
It did. Across all our major IT Hubs. At the same time. The most exciting moment had nothing to do with the technology.
It was watching our people who spend most of their days deep in operations, processes and ticket queues suddenly light up. Pitching ideas they’d apparently been carrying around for a while, just waiting for someone to say: go build it.
Our jury had a genuinely hard time. Not because the ideas were vague, but because too many of them were good. Picking a shortlist for the audience vote felt almost unfair.
That’s the best problem to have. This is just the beginning.
